Respite's End

about

The orchestral side of the cinematic scene.

The orchestral piece here has a lot less full on sync points than the electronic one does. It has some, but it plays off as just a part of the song afterwards and they aren’t transition points as much. The piece doesn’t stop in places either, its just a continuous flow. I feel like I hit close to the emotion of each section, using swells in sections to help accentuate this.

The first section is smooth, nothing too special happening, with a gentle choir voice over the top. This bleeds into the next, chords and all where a spiccato line starts and it speeds up. For added tension, brass chords kick in.

A light piano starts, continuing into the next section where things ramp up in speed and intensity. The piano continues but deeper and harsher. Tense choirs sing over the piano and quick paced strings in the literal heat of the moment, before slowly calming down, before the next section which is a reworking of the original themes.
